noyes@Psalms:107:1 @ O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; For his mercy endureth for ever!

noyes@Psalms:107:2 @ Let the redeemed of the LORD say it, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

noyes@Psalms:107:3 @ Whom he hath gathered from the lands, From the east, the west, the north, and the south.

noyes@Psalms:107:4 @ They were wandering in the wilderness, in a desert, They found no way to a city to dwell in.

noyes@Psalms:107:5 @ They were hungry and thirsty, And their souls fainted within them.

noyes@Psalms:107:6 @ Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distress.

noyes@Psalms:107:7 @ He led them in a straight way, Till they came to a city where they might dwell.

noyes@Psalms:107:8 @ O let them praise the LORD for his goodness, For his wonderful works to the children of men!

noyes@Psalms:107:9 @ For he satisfieth the thirsty, And the hungry he filleth with good.

noyes@Psalms:107:10 @ They dwelt in darkness and the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron;

noyes@Psalms:107:11 @ Because they disobeyed the commands of God, And contemned the will of the Most High;

noyes@Psalms:107:12 @ Their hearts he brought down by hardship; They fell down, and there was none to help.

noyes@Psalms:107:13 @ But they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And he saved them out of their distresses;

noyes@Psalms:107:14 @ He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bands asunder.

noyes@Psalms:107:15 @ O let them praise the LORD for his goodness, For his wonderful works to the children of men!

noyes@Psalms:107:16 @ For he hath broken the gates of brass, And cut the bars of iron asunder.

noyes@Psalms:107:17 @ The foolish, because of their transgressions, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted;

noyes@Psalms:107:18 @ They abhorred all kinds of food; They were near to the gates of death.

noyes@Psalms:107:19 @ Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distresses;

noyes@Psalms:107:20 @ He sent his word, and healed them, And saved them from their destruction.

noyes@Psalms:107:21 @ O let them praise the LORD for his goodness, For his wonderful works to the children of men!

noyes@Psalms:107:22 @ Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with joy!

noyes@Psalms:107:23 @ They who go down to the sea in ships, And do business in great waters,

noyes@Psalms:107:24 @ These see the works of the LORD, And his wonders in the deep.

noyes@Psalms:107:25 @ He commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, Which lifteth high the waves.

noyes@Psalms:107:26 @ They mount up to the heavens, They sink down to the depths, Their soul melteth with distress;

noyes@Psalms:107:27 @ They reel and stagger like a drunken man, And all their skill is vain.

noyes@Psalms:107:28 @ Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, And he saveth them out of their distresses;

noyes@Psalms:107:29 @ He turneth the storm into a calm, And the waves are hushed;

noyes@Psalms:107:30 @ Then they rejoice that they are still, And he bringeth them to their desired haven.

noyes@Psalms:107:31 @ O let them praise the LORD for his goodness. For his wonderful works to the children of men!

noyes@Psalms:107:32 @ Let them extol him in the congregation of the people, And praise him in the assembly of the elders!

noyes@Psalms:107:33 @ He turneth rivers into a desert, And springs of water into dry ground;

noyes@Psalms:107:34 @ A fruitful land into barrenness, For the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

noyes@Psalms:107:35 @ He turneth the desert into a lake of water, And dry ground into springs of water;

noyes@Psalms:107:36 @ And there he causeth the hungry to dwell, And they build a city for a dwellingplace,

noyes@Psalms:107:37 @ And sow fields and plant vineyards, Which yield a fruitful increase.

noyes@Psalms:107:38 @ He blesseth them, so that they multiply greatly, And suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

noyes@Psalms:107:39 @ When they are diminished and brought low By oppression, affliction, and sorrow,

noyes@Psalms:107:40 @ He poureth contempt upon princes, And causeth them to wander in a pathless wilderness;

noyes@Psalms:107:41 @ But he raiseth the poor from their affliction, And increaseth their families like a flock.

noyes@Psalms:107:42 @ The righteous see it and rejoice, And all iniquity shutteth her mouth.

noyes@Psalms:107:43 @ Whoso is wise, let him observe this, And have regard to the lovingkindness of the LORD!
